Save VAT on an adapted car

Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles also provide wheelchair users with the discounted price which they qualify for from the government. Wheelchair users may not realise that by having a car adapted for them to us allows them to get any car they buy without any VAT being added. What usually happens when you buy a car is that you will have to pay the full price including VAT because the car salesperson may not be aware that the VAT does not have to be paid for vehicles which have been adapted for wheelchair users.

What wheelchair users must be aware of is that the VAT exclusion is a government offer so it does not effect any other offers they may be given by the garage they purchase their vehicle from.
